The blockbuster trade to bring Davante Adams to town didn't get the immediate return many hoped for the New York Jets on Sunday night.

The reunion of Adams and quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a major storyline heading into their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, Adams had a quiet first half and essentially was a non-factor in the second half.

While the Jets took an early 7-3 lead over the Steelers and then jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the second quarter, Pittsburgh hit its stride after that. Russell Wilson and company reeled off 31 straight points en route to a 37-15 victory that threw cold water all over the debut of Adams.

Amid the quiet night for Adams, one photo of the former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver quickly made the rounds. While NFL fans had no shortage of reactions, Raiders fans especially enjoyed the moment and the look on the face of Adams.

Adams's final stat line will be a talking point for much of the week. The six-time Pro Bowler finished fourth on the Jets in receiving yards on Sunday night with 30 while catching just three passes. He also didn't have a single catch in the second half while the Jets attempted to overcome a stellar stretch by the Steelers.

Adams tied for the team-high in targets with Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson, as all three players finished with nine. However, Hall led the team in receiving, catching six passes for 103 yards, while Wilson finished with five receptions for 61 yards.

The Jets dropped to 2-5 on the season, and with the Buffalo Bills' victory on Sunday, they're now three wins back of the AFC East leaders. It's not all bad news, though, as the upcoming schedule for Rodgers and company could bode well for them to at least make a push back into the playoff mix.

Over the next eight games, the Jets will face three teams with a .500 or better record: the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks. However, they still have two games against the Miami Dolphins, who will likely get Tua Tagovailoa back soon, and also face the Bills again in Week 17.

He was disgusted, him and his boyfriend Aaron Rodgers got back together, Aaron, got a boo boo on his hand, and the Jets did what the Jets always do, make a complete ass of themselves, oh yeah and the Stealers whooped that ass for them. There's the whole story
