A question asked by many college students far and near is, where can I go to clear my head after a stressful day? Some may say you could go to the library or the gym, but for UW-Whitewater there’s another often overlooked option. Located on the northeastern border of campus near Wells Residence Hall is UW-Whitewater’s very own nature preserve. The preserve is home to 100 acres of land total, 40 acres of it is fryers woods and the other 60 acres is a mix of prairie and the property behind Perkins Stadium.
