    Honor Flight Tri-State offering final flight of year on October 23, taking 88 veterans to D.C.

    Honor Flight Tri-State is a non-profit organization committed to honoring America’s veterans by offering them a complimentary trip to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.

    This chartered flight from CVG will serve veterans from across the Tri-State area, recognizing the sacrifices of these extraordinary individuals who have given so much for our country.

    Honor Flight Tri-State will hosting 88 veterans and their guardians on the one-day trip.

    Eighty-five percent of the flight will be filled with VietNam veterans with the remainder being from other conflicts.

    Morning ceremonies

    The day begins at 5:45 a.m. in a new location – Departures on Level C to the right of the ticket counters. The group will be stationed near the huge wall murals.

    There will be a short speech of appreciation for our veterans and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Pipe and Drum Corps will be filling the CVG terminal with patriotic sounds to send off the veterans. There will be an American Flag presentation by the UC Air Force ROTC cadets, an appropriate sendoff veterans will never forget and a “Thank you“ for their service to country.

    Welcome Home Rally

    Revelers arrive at 8:30 p.m, in the same location as the Morning Ceremony. The flight will arrive close to 9 p.m., as it is a charter, that time will vary.

    The public is welcome to both the SEND OFF and the Welcome Home Rally.

    Honor Flight Memorabilia will be for sale at the Welcome Home Rally. One of the only times to purchase Honor Flight merchandise.

    Also Honor Flight Tri-State is holding a fundraiser on November 16, 5-9 p.m. at the Little Miami Brewing Company Event Center. It features a speaker, live music, Bourbon & BBQ, food, raffles and dancing. Tickets are on sale now and proceeds support veterans’ honor flights throughout the year.
