The Warriors continued to dominate in the first set with a 5-1 run to take the set 25-11. In the second set the Red Foxes got on the board first however, the Warriors responded with three straight points to even the playing field. Merrimack's 8-1 run mid-set gave the Warriors an 11-7 advantage but the Red Foxes reclaimed the lead with 21 points, ultimately winning the second set 26-24. The Red Foxes would follow up their second set victory with a third set win, 25-19.Three kills and a service ace from Mckenna Shotwell led the Warriors to a 4-0 advantage in the beginning of the fourth set. Merrimack capitalized off several attack errors on the Red Foxes' side to extend its advantage, 10-4. Marist was unable to find its footing, as a powerful 7-2 run sealed the deal for a Warrior win, 25-16. The fifth and final set of the match began in Red Fox territory however, the Merrimack fought back, with kills from Julz Carlat and Marissa Kobelski to keep the Warriors within striking distance.
