HOOVER - An all around effort from the Blazers resulted in a dominant performance over West Georgia on Friday at the Hoover Met Complex. Friday's 14 inning exhibition showcased the ample amount of talent UAB has in store for this spring. The Blazers' pitchers struck out 16 West Georgia batters in 14 innings of action. UAB SP Colin Daniel's four strikeouts over two innings began the dominant day for the pitching staff. Likewise, Caleb Pittman also had four strikeouts across two innings. Pittman, Ryan Olson, Nathan Shelton, and Chase Ingram all struck out multiple Wolves hitters in their respective two innings of work. Cole Cheatham and Braxton Shelton also contributed two innings a piece with zero earned runs allowed. Brooks House capped off the day by picking up a strikeout of his own in a scoreless inning of work. Overall, Blazer pitching allowed two earned runs in 14 innings of play.
