Chonko was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Butler was also hospitalized but remains in stable condition. </p><p> North Versailles Police sought support from the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide and Collision Reconstruction Units, sparking an investigation. It was determined that the Nissan attempted a left turn when it was struck by the Pontiac, which was traveling at 90 miles per hour. A toxicology report confirmed the presence of cannabinoids and THC in Butler’s system. </p><p> Butler faces charges, including homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and driving under the influence.
