Colorado and UNLV are also on the rise after wins for both of them in games that easily could have been losses when looking at the schedule. </li></ul><ul><li>Andy Yamashita took a deeper dive into two of UW’s commitments for the 2025 recruiting class. Yamashita looked at bot Zaydrius Rainey-Sale and D’Aryhian Clemons, who are not only two of the top high school players in the state this year, they are also best friends. Hopefully, they will be able to bring those bonds to the Husky defense and put them in action on the field. </li></ul><ul><li>Dawgman’s staff checked in on UW’s opponents at the midway point of the season. They surveyed their writers about the best win and loss, and which games mean the most the rest of the way. Not surprisingly, the Michigan win got unanimous support as the best win, but it was hard to reach a consensus on which of the frustrating, painful losses left the deepest scar. </li></ul><ul><li>Revenue generation is, unfortunately, the name of the game in college football in 2024, and UW is doing its best to keep pace with its deeper-pocketed rivals. The University established a branch within the Athletic Department focused on Internal NIL and Influencer Marketing. The new department is known as Dawgs Unleashed and will be led by UW alum Joe Knight, a former UW athlete who has gone into fundraising and development. </li></ul><ul><li>Husky Volleyball got a road win over Michigan State to pull back even in Big 10 play at 4-4. The Huskies dropped the first set and then swept the final three to leave the Spartans winless in conference at 0-8. It was the Dawgs’ first win after four consecutive losses. They will host Rutgers in Seattle on Friday. </li></ul><ul><li>“Back in my day, we used to have midnight madness at midnight,” I thought to myself, immediately making me feel like I’m 80.
