Lake Chickamauga fished tough as dirty water from the hurricane made its way into the lake.</p><p>Junior Ethan Fields and senior Jaxson Freeman led McKendree with a five-bass limit that weighed 15.14 pounds, landing them in 21st place. This is the second time for this angler duo to qualify for the national championship. The freshman duo of Chase Logue and Liam Bonnett qualified for the National Championship as well, with a five-bass limit of 13.15 pounds placing them 33rd. Senior duo Lane Stephens and Jack Stephens were the last duo to qualify for a National Championship in the MLF tournament. They caught a limit weighing 13.5 pounds placing them 41st.</p><p>Junior Kai Barnett and sophomore Parker Welch finished in 81st with a limit of 10.9 pounds. Placing 85th for the Bearcats was the freshman team of Evan McCormick and Mason Darling with a limit of 10.6 pounds. </p><p>Graduate student Tomas Matual and Will Hornsby placed 111th with three for 8.4 pounds. Senior Kyle Hopping and junior Connor Hall placed 119th with a four-bass limit of 7.14 pounds. Brothers Jason and Matthew Qualich had an engine go down at their first spot and managed to grind out three for 5.1 pounds and a 162nd-place finish. Graduate student Harmon Marien and senior Maxwell Trotter placed 181st with 3.15 pounds. Senior Evan Sutton and Grant Olsen were 183rd with 3.13 pounds. Freshman duo Carson Belville and Dawson Hendrix were 189th with two bass for 3.9 pounds. Sophomore duo Ryan Foster and Angelo Malek had 2.4 pounds and placed 198th.</p></div></body>
