Breezy conditions, gradual warm-up forecast for parts of Southern California this week

According to the latest Area Forecast Discussion from the National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard, Southern California can expect a warm-up as high pressure builds over the region. Starting Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday, temperatures will rise across the area, although overnight low clouds and fog may return to some coastal regions.

The weather forecast indicates a continuation of generally quiet conditions with light winds throughout the week. The short-term outlook from Monday to Thursday predicts weak offshore trends, leading to a modest warming trend while keeping temperatures cool enough to mitigate any heat-related impacts.

While the offshore winds may limit the potential for nighttime low clouds and fog, areas along the Central Coast, extending south to Oxnard, could still experience dense fog. Breezy northwest to northeast winds will also persist in the interior regions and southwest Santa Barbara County each morning and evening, with a slight increase in wind strength expected on Wednesday, though remaining below advisory levels.
