Saturday afternoon, several hundred people came out to enjoy music, games, shopping and food at the annual Granite Fest in Granite Quarry. Held at Granite Civic Park on West Peeler Street, the event offered live musical performances, a variety of activities including panning for gems, rock painting, gel pellet shooting galleries, NinjaWarrior obstacle course, padded jousting, all kinds of craft items for sale (including Halloween costumes), and a variety of food trucks, among other things. The event, which ran from 1-7 p.m., started as a celebration of the town’s centennial and after a few years’ hiatus, is back with the hope it will continue to be an annual event.
