New Gym Planned for Gainesville

A fitness franchise appears to be working on a new Georgia location.

Crunch Fitness is planned for 250 John W Morrow Jr Parkway in Gainesville, according to construction documents. The gym will be more than 39,000 square feet in an existing commercial building. The space will include exercise equipment, locker rooms, bathrooms, showers and tanning equipment, according to the plans.

The location comes from CR Fitness Holdings , a leading franchisee of Crunch Fitness with clubs in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Texas.

Crunch Fitness began in New York City in 1989 and has since grown to more than 400 locations across the world, including several in metro Atlanta. The brand aims to cultivate a diverse, inclusive atmosphere.

“While we believe in the power of fitness to improve lives, we also know exercise is hard work and everyone can use a little more motivation,” according to the website. “So we’ve fused fitness and entertainment so that we can make serious exercise fun.”

The gyms offer personal training, fitness classes and a variety of equipment and amenities.
