    Premier Health expected to sell 2 nursing, rehab facilities

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Two nursing facilities in Miami County are expected to be sold.

    According to a release, Premier Health and Upper Valley Medical Center are expected to sell SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City to Otterbein SeniorLife, and Koester Pavilion in Troy to Vancrest Healthcare Centers.

    Otterbein SeniorLife has acted as the managing partner for SpringMeade since January, Premier Health said. Vancrest has served as Koester’s operations manager since January.

    “We are excited for what these transitions will mean for residents and employees on both campuses, as well as for the larger community,” said Kevin Harlan, president of Premier Health’s Upper Valley Medical Center and Atrium Medical Center.

    It is reported by Premier that staff at both nursing facilities are staffed by the expected incoming owners.

    Both facilities offer short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, Hospice care and more.

    Transitions are expected to occur before December.
