Residents of the City of Sonoma may notice smoke on Wednesday, October 23, due to a planned prescribed burn at Tolay Lake Regional Park, approximately 10 miles southwest of Sonoma Plaza. Sonoma County Regional Parks is conducting this controlled burn in partnership with the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria (FIGR) and CAL FIRE. Fire crews will burn about 120 acres of grassland, starting at 9 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.
