Washington-based Nordstrom to open two new 'Rack' stores in Florida, third location planned

Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom has announced plans to expand its presence in Florida with the opening of two new Nordstrom Rack stores in Melbourne and Sarasota. The Melbourne location is set to open in fall 2025, followed by the Sarasota store in spring 2026.

The 24,000-square-foot Melbourne store will be situated in The Avenue Viera, a shopping center featuring retailers like lululemon and Sephora. In Sarasota, the 27,000-square-foot store will be located in Sarasota Pavilion, which includes Publix and Ross Dress For Less.

These new locations will join existing Nordstrom stores and 19 Nordstrom Rack stores across Florida, contributing to the company's Closer to You strategy aimed at enhancing customer experience. Nordstrom currently operates six Nordstrom stores and 19 Nordstrom Rack stores in Florida, generating approximately 2,800 jobs statewide.
