Fresno marketing firm purchases Visalia magazine title

Fresno-based Root Creative Marketing announced last week that it has acquired Lifestyle Magazine , a Visalia-based publication focused on community-driven content, further strengthening Root Creative Marketing’s foothold in the South Valley.

Co-founded by Stephanie Steelman and Sam Justice, Root’s acquisition of the publication furthers their focus on furthering the company’s print and digital media services in the Central Valley.

Root Creative Marketing was founded in Fresno in 2020.

“We’re thrilled to embark on this new chapter with Lifestyle Magazine,” said Steelman and Justice in a news release. “The South Valley is rich with stories and opportunities, and we’re eager to connect, support, and elevate local businesses and organizations through the magazine.”

The magazine’s previous publisher, Topograph, closed its agency this summer, opening the door for Root, which will open its second office in Visalia in the next several weeks.

The first issue of the magazine, the Food Issue , is scheduled to be released in early November, with Root’s new office set to open later that month. The new office will support both the marketing agency and magazine, further connecting the agency with the community.

The announcement of Root’s new Visalia office was met with a warm welcome on social media, with many users expressing their excitement in seeing the agency’s presence introduced to the South Valley.
