MADISON, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has made an arrest related to a deadly shooting that occurred in Madison over the weekend.

In a post to X, MNPD said 29-year-old Juan Ramirez-Guerra was taken into custody by TITANS detectives. Ramirez-Guerra was arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of 28-year-old Edin Delacruz-Reyes.

Delacruz-Reyes was shot outside a business in the 1300 block of Gallatin Pike South just before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 19. Officials said Delacruz-Reyes and Ramirez-Guerra were gathered with others, drinking in a parking lot before walking away from the group.

Shortly after, they saw Ramirez-Guerra point a gun at the victim and fire multiple times, according to court documents. Witnesses told police they did not see a fight or argument occur between the two before the incident. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle immediately after.

Authorities said that they found Delacruz-Reyes shot multiple times, including at least once in the chest. He was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where he died.

Ramirez-Guerra was booked on a charge of criminal homicide and has been jailed on a $150,000 bond.
