Ashley Kuproski, a sixth-grade teacher at Haley Elementary School in Chandler, recently learned she’s among the 10 winners of 2024 grants from the Four Peaks for Teachers “Thank A Teacher” program.

Kuproski, a repeat Four Peaks grant winner, and eight others will each receive $1,000 for their classrooms.

Sherri Pine of Mesa is Four Peaks for Teachers 2024 Teacher of the Year. She received a $3,000 grant and catered lunch for faculty and staff at her school for the recognition.

Other 2024 Four Peaks winners are mostly from Valley schools, though there’s one from Yuma, one from Eloy and one from Albuquerque, N.M.

The grants recognize outstanding teachers for their dedication and service to their communities through nominations submitted by friends, coworkers and parents.

The grants are part of the annual Four Peaks for Teachers initiative, which distributes free supply kits and provides financial support to teachers across Arizona and neighboring states.

Since its 2011 inception, the program has now provided supply kits for more than 57,000 teachers and awarded more than $42,000 in cash grants.
