RAVENNA , Ohio (WJW) — A person is under indictment for allegedly supplying the drugs that apparently caused several people to overdose at a fraternal club in June.

A grand jury this month indicted Jamie Perry, 40, of Ravenna, on six counts of corrupting another with drugs and four counts of trafficking in fentanyl-related compounds, according to a news release from Ravenna police.

Six charged with illegal voting in Ohio

Ravenna police officers and firefighters responded on June 8 to the Fraternal Order of Eagles club along Cleveland Road for a report of an unresponsive man.

Six people were treated for an overdose and five people were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

“The Ravenna Police Department remains fully committed to addressing the opioid epidemic and holding individuals accountable for their role in perpetuating this crisis,” reads the news release from Capt. Jake Smallfield. “The safety and well-being of our community remain our top priority.”

Perry was indicted on Oct. 17 and was released after posting 10% of a $75,000 bond. Perry must remain under house arrest with electronic monitoring, court filings show.

No future court dates have been set.

Thank God no one died! And God bless our EMT'S who certainly had their hands full. Drugs do not discriminate, it's taken the lives of young and old. I read somewhere online a poem which had the heading "One last time" it was about a person who wanted to quit drugs but wanted to get high one last time, well she did. RIP
