    Victim in fatal motorcycle crash identified

    SPRINGFIELD, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The man who died in a motorcycle crash on Selma Pike Monday evening has been identified by the Springfield Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol.

    According to OSP, the man was 58-year-old Roger L. Stevens of Springfield.

    Stevens was traveling northeast on Selma Pike and failed to negotiate a curve, OSP says. He drove off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

    Stevens succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

    Selma Pike was closed for several hours as crews responded to the crash.

    The crash remains under investigation by OSP. The Pitchin Fire Department and EMS, Miami Valley CareFlight, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, and Dan’s Towing and Recovery all assisted.
