Docudrama examines controversial 1971 experiment at California university everyone still talks about

National Geographic has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming three-part docuseries, "The Stanford Prison Experiment: Unlocking the Truth," set to premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 8/7c on National Geographic and stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.

Directed by Juliette Eisner, the series offers an unprecedented look at the infamous 1971 psychological experiment through the firsthand accounts of the original "guards" and "prisoners," many of whom speak publicly for the first time, NatGeo stated.

The project examines human nature and revisits the controversial role of the experiment's creator, Dr. Philip Zimbardo, in light of his recent passing, according to producers.

The docuseries, produced by Muck Media, promises fresh revelations about the six-day study that shaped psychological research, according to NatGeo.

Very powerful experiment showing how when being placed into a role of authority can transform people in evil beings. This is true in our political arena now. Vote for peace.
