Candidates running for City Council and School Board are invited.Virginia BeachThe Thalia Civic League, Birchwood Civic League, and Kings Forest Civic League host a City Council District 8 forum from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday. The event will be held at New Life Church- Town Center Campus, located at 420 Thalia Road in Virginia Beach.The Central Business District Association is hosting a Speakeasy Candidates Night from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Ruth’s Chris Restaurant located at 205 Central Park Ave. at Virginia Beach Town Center. All candidates running for the 2nd Congressional District, City Council, school board and sheriff have been invited.
