The neighbor offered Ashley Parham a place to stay for the night, but she declined and only remained for a short while after the Sheriff left. Parham then returned to Shane Weaver's residence, where she found the door open and her clothes easily accessible.

Shane appeared as though nothing had happened and suggested she stay and "sleep it off." Parham, still in shock and disbelief from the events, asked for her purse and keys. Shane insisted she shouldn’t leave in her condition, and Parham, in an unresponsive state, stayed while Shane left the house.

The next morning, Shane returned home, woke Parham, and finally returned her purse, cell phone, and keys. As compensation for arranging the assault against her, Parham believes Shane was given a new car.

Still in a daze, Parham left his residence, trying to process what had happened.

On March 26, 2018, she contacted her primary care doctor for an HIV and STD test, fearing she might have contracted something from the assault. Parham continued her life under the impression that she wouldn't be believed, as the Contra Costa Sheriffs had already dismissed her claims.

She also feared that naming Sean Diddy Combs as her assailant would put her family in danger.

In April 2018, still suffering from her injuries, Parham went to the hospital, where she underwent multiple tests, including a rape kit, ultrasound, and x-rays. She was also given IV fluids as she was severely weakened from being unable to eat and had lost a significant amount of weight since the assault.
