CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Police Department has announced an arrest in the investigation of a shooting in June that left two people hurt. Lieutenant Gregory Manzana said in a press release that that the investigation indicated Donnie Caldwell Jr., 27 of Urbana, was the shooter. On June 1, Caldwell allegedly fired multiple shots at two men, ages 24 and 30, while they were in a business parking lot at Mattis and University Avenues.
