Top EVs you can lease for under $300/month this October

With a week left in October, now's the time to snag an EV lease with monthly payments under $300.

New EVs are popular to lease rather than own outright because most qualify for a federal tax credit that isn't always available to buyers. That might be why Edmunds data found almost 80% of new electric purchases are now leased, as of mid October. The lease "loophole" offers up to $7,500 off.

To find the best leases, CarsDirect, an automotive research firm, compiled lease terms through Oct. 31. We sorted through the best prices for all-electric options. Costs maybe vary based on your location and lease terms can inflate monthly costs.

Final thoughts

Big names in the EV space are looking attractive in October with affordable monthly pricing. The all-new Honda Prologue is on offer and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 has one of the best deals available on the base trim. Volkswagen is running a lease special on the ID.4 S model. Before committing to an EV, double check the range and battery specs. It's not as great of a deal if you'll be constantly charging.
