There's no question as to who two of the best freshmen playmakers in college football have been this season. Even with tremendous competition from Collin Simmons, Dylan Raiola, and Dylan Stewart, true frosh Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith have been even better.

On Thursday, each saw a huge College Football 25 ratings boost in the gigantic update pushed by EA Sports. More than 700 players were also added, and we saw Ashton Jeanty tie Travis Hunter and Will Johnson for the highest rating in the game.

Here's more on Smith and Williams.

Williams saw the larger jump, from an 82 overall to a 90 overall. Smith went from an 84 overall to a 90. Considering how each has performed thus far and how difficult it is to discern between the two talented stars, I think it's fair EA simply made them even.

Smith has caught 32 passes for 553 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Williams has 31 receptions for 649 yards and seven touchdowns. Ohio State's passing offense has been more consistent, and Williams has been more reliant on big plays comparatively.

Still, both of these guys are awesome. Now, they'll be unstoppable in CFB 25.
