Now, it’s safe to say Burrow is the most disrespected quarterback in the entire NFL.The Cincinnati Bengals found themselves in a hole early on in the 2024 NFL season with a 1-3 record, losing to the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens. While it wasn’t necessarily the start many anticipated, the start wasn’t because of how Burrow was playing, instead Burrow has, and still is, playing at the best level he has in his entire career. Yet, because of how the Bengals started the season, Burrow’s performances are being overlooked.Burrow has been playing like the MVP in the NFL, throwing for 1,759 yards and 14 touchdowns with just two interceptions over a 70.4% completion rate. He is currently averaging the second most yards per pass attempt in his career, only behind his 2021 season, a season in which he led the Bengals to the Super Bowl. His production comes with him seeing the ninth most dropbacks in the NFL with 256. The issue is, outside of Jackson who only has two interceptions as well, the other quarterbacks mentioned each have six or more interceptions.Of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in passing yards currently, Burrow has played the most efficiently, it just hasn’t led to winning results, which is leading to Burrow’s season so far getting overlooked. A better indication of this is when you look at MVP odds. Burrow is currently seventh, behind Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jared Goff, Jordan Love, and CJ Stroud, all quarterbacks he has performed better than. Of those quarterbacks mentioned, Mahomes and Love have eight interceptions, Goff and Stroud have four interceptions, and have not performed at the level Burrow has. Allen has had zero, but hasn’t nearly been as efficient passing the ball like Burrow has. Yet, all the quarterbacks mentioned have been more frequently talked about with their top performances compared to Burrow.Breaking it down further, Goff is truly the only quarterback mentioned that is close to Burrow in terms of his efficiency, but still while having a 73.6% completion rate, has not had the same yardage or touchdown production as Burrow.The level Burrow is playing at deserves more respect, as the lack of recognition he has gotten based on the Bengals’ record is disrespectful.</div></body>
