<div>J101 StudentELAC football fell to Long Beach City College in the third annual Clash of the Presidents Cup Thursday night, 64 to 0 at Weingart Stadium.The Huskies came into the game with four consecutive losses after winning their first game.The Husky offense struggled to gain momentum, with only 22 yards of total offense throughout the game. Quarterback Dunate Bell struggled during the game, throwing for 8 yards and 2 interceptions on 10 pass attempts. He was sacked five times for a total loss of 27 yards. Running Back Brandon Giron was the long bright spot for the Huskies offense, rushing for 79 yards on 22 attempts.On the first drive of the game the Husky defense looked promising, after a sack from Joshua Blalock and an offside penalty forced Long Beach to punt. Despite the Husky defensive stop, Long Beach scored on their next possession when quarterback Jett Peddy rushed for an 11-yard touchdown making the score 7-0, after a successful extra point. In subsequent plays, the Husky defense collapsed, conceding a total of 488 yards and six offensive touchdowns.Long Beach came into the game with a record of three wins and two losses. From the first quarter onward they dominated. After scoring on their second possession of the game, Linebacker Jalen Johnson forced a fumble, after sacking Bell. The fumble was recovered by Long Beach player Mario Rivas, and returned for a touchdown, extending their lead to 14-0.In the second quarter, Long Beach’s Peddy threw for a pair of touchdowns.The first was a 33-yard pass caught by Matthew Dragich. The second touchdown was completed to Matthew Berejeni for 28 yards on 4th and 13, increasing their lead to 28-0. The Huskies only scoring opportunity was wiped out when Bell overthrew open wide receiver Chris Hicks in the endzone.Long Beach lone turnover occurred when Husky defensive back Daylon Storey intercepted a pass from Peddy at the Huskies 40-yard line.Despite the great field position the Husky offense was unable to capitalize.At the start of the second half, the Huskies had possession of the ball first and were unable to get any offense going.The Huskies punted the ball, and Long Beach had a lengthy nine-play drive capped off by O’shea Wallace’s 5- yard rushing touchdown. Later in the quarter, Peddy threw his final touchdown of the game to Kyle Brown for 21 yards making the score 43-0, in favor of Long Beach.LB City continued to dominate, scoring 21 points in the quarter despite substituting players in key positions. New quarterback Qeanu Campbell completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Marquez Guzman on his first drive, increasing the Vikings lead to 50-0. Their next 14 points came off turnovers from a pick-6 and a blocked punt returned for an 11- yard touchdown. Huskies fall to 1-5 overall, and 0-3 in conference play. Huskies play their next game away, Thursday against Mt. San Antonio College at 6:00 p.m.</div>
