The Panthers will start Bryce Young because Andy Dalton suffered a sprained thumb in a car accident on Tuesday. Young hasn’t started since Week 2 but has an opportunity to shine and prove he’s capable of being their starting quarterback of the future.</p><p>Unfortunately, Young will not have their top two targets to throw to.</p><h2>The Carolina Panthers ruled out their leading receiver from last season</h2><p>Adam Thielen will not return to the starting lineup this week. Thielen has spent the last four weeks on injured reserve because he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3. Although the Panthers opened his practice window on Wednesday, he will not play this week.</p><p>He will miss his fifth consecutive game.</p><h2>The Carolina Panthers also ruled out their leading receiver from this season</h2><p>According to Tom Pelissero of <i>NFL Network,</i> the Panthers have also ruled out Diontae Johnson. Johnson has been dealing with a rib injury for the past few weeks. He wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week.
