Welcome to “Good Morning, Illini Nation,” your daily dose of college basketball news from Illini beat writer and AP Top 25 voter Scott Richey. He’ll offer up insights every morning on Brad Underwood’s team and college basketball at large:

Sunday's charity exhibition game at No. 24 Mississippi will have a bit more structure to it than Illinois' "secret" scrimmage against Butler earlier this month. Mainly because it will be on TV — SEC Network picked it up — and actually feature two, 20-minute halves.

"It will be more of a game-like feel in terms of if guys get in foul trouble or if you get in the bonus early," Illinois coach Brad Underwood said. "Those type of situations you didn't pay much attention to in a scrimmage. We'll look at some different things and obviously keep our interests at the forefront. But we're going to see a style, we're going to see a system and we're going to see something that they're well ingrained in and they've done for a while because they're an old team. It will be interesting to see how we handle it."
