Johnson Stadium.Sachse (7-1, 6-0 9-6A) initially held the Titans (3-6, 1-5) to a three-and-out on the opening drive, but a defensive holding penalty allowed South Garland to continue its drive. The Titans capitalized on the opportunity, finishing the drive with a 43-yard touchdown pass from Edson Rincon to Paulo Jimenez to open the scoring. The Mustangs did not take long to respond, taking just four plays to drive 75 yards. Two long runs by Brendon Haygood set up an easy 18-yard pitch-and-catch from Dirk Williams Jr. to Kaliq Lockett to get on the board, but the ensuing PAT kick hit the upright.
