Wings On Wheels, a mobile chicken wing vendor, typically found at 5850 Antler Way in Crestview, Florida, with a 4.2-star rating from Google reviews, temporarily paused operations following health inspection findings on October 17, 2024.

State records revealed that the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation identified six violations during a complaint inspection, including two high-priority, one intermediate, and three basic violations.

This led to an emergency order recommending temporary closure until the issues at the Okaloosa County eatery could be addressed.

The inspector's note revealed that high-priority violations centered around an expired operating license and raw sewage concerns.

The food truck's license had expired on June 1, 2024, prompting an administrative complaint. Additionally, inspectors noted grey water leaking onto the ground due to a fallen tank, raising sanitation notices.

These findings, along with the others noted below, prompted a temporary closure to ensure public safety standards were met.

A follow-up inspection on October 18 showed progress, with only two remaining violations.

Wings On Wheels, known for its chicken wing offerings, typically serves customers throughout Okaloosa County.

A second follow-up inspection will verify all corrections have been completed before full operations resume.

    High-Priority Violations:

    • Expired operating license
    • Grey water containment system failure

    Intermediate Violation:

    • Missing food manager certification

    Basic Violations:

    • Door threshold gaps
    • Plumbing system maintenance needs
    • Cleaning requirements for exterior components
