All veterans will receive free admission, and immediate family members receive 50% off. A valid military ID is required.</li><li>The zoo’s popular shopping event, Shop-a-Holidays, returns on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Discounted admission for the day is available at $7 per person. More than 60 local vendors will be set up throughout the zoo for guests to enjoy some holiday shopping. Kids can also enjoy a craft corner provided in partnership with Akron Firestone Visual Arts.</li></ul><p>Parking is now free at the Akron Zoo daily. The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year.
