The men’s team lost 168-132 and the women’s team at 222-77.To start things off for the Mountaineers, senior Justin Heimes, redshirt senior Danny Berlitz, senior Braden Osborn and senior Conner McBeth had 3:19.03 400-yard medley relay, finishing 57 seconds behind Kentucky.Senior Emily Knorr placed second in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a 17:03.32 time, finishing 33 seconds behind Kentucky’s Sammie Hamilton. Senior Miranda Kirtley finished shortly after, earning third place with a 17:42.17 time.Heimes finished the 100-yard backstroke in 49.76 seconds, earning WVU its first win. Sophomore Victoria Kidney won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.40.Berlitz continued his strong performance from the West Virginia State Meet with three individual wins. He finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.51 seconds, first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:01.70 and first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:48.76.In the 100-yard freestyle, senior Conner McBeth added another victory for the Mountaineers, finishing first with a time of 45.11. Freshman Joey Stebbins placed first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:50.22, just ahead of redshirt sophomore Christian Simpson, who finished with a time of 1:51.65.In diving, sophomore Owen Recker placed first on the 3-meter with 340.05 points and second on the 1-meter with 309.53 points. Senior Sarah Krusinski led the women’s diving team, finishing second on the 1-meter with 275.93 points.The Mountaineers will return home for their next meet against the University of Cincinnati from Nov. 1-2 at the Mylan Park Aquatic Center.</div></body>
