The loss drops the Lions to a 2-13 overall record (1-10 NE10) while the Hawks improve to 12-4 (9-2 NE10).How it Happened<ul><li>The Lions' defense successfully defended five penalty corners within the first three minutes of play.</li><li>Saint Anselm struck early, netting two goals in the first quarter.</li><li>Maggie Burchill extended the Hawks' lead at the start of the second quarter.</li><li>Laurentien van den Akker and Ruby Reid each scored to give the home team a commanding 5-0 advantage to close out the first half.</li><li>The Lions earned a penalty corner in the third quarter where senior Devin Harkins managed to get a shot off.</li><li>Freshman Kayla Balsamo made three saves in the fourth quarter to hold the deficit at five.</li></ul>Top Performances<ul><li>Sophomore goalie Kayla Lipscomb recorded 13 saves in net.</li><li>Harkins took one shot.</li><li>Balsamo contributed three saves.</li></ul>The Lions take on St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday (Oct. 29) at 3:00 p.m. for the final road game of the season.</div></body>
