Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House will host their event, Evenings at Butterworth Center – What’s for Dinner? Preserving your family’s food traditions, on Monday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Butterworth Center in Moline.

Join Gretchen Small, director of programs and collections at Butterworth Center and
Deere-Wiman House, as she shares her goal of preserving her family’s food culture.

No doubt, you remember favorite dishes from your own childhood, and you can use those memories to preserve history through the food traditions that have enriched your family. Genealogy is more than just your family tree and photographs of ancestors. Learn what you can pass on to your descendants about how food enriched your family history.

Come share those memories as Gretchen leads us on a trip to the past to celebrate your family’s food traditions in a new, fun way.

The event is free to attend, and no reservations are needed.
