Bart Scott Unleashes Harsh Critique on Jets After Falling to 2-6 with Loss to Patriots

The New York Jets can't seem to find any rhythm or success as the season slips away, now standing at 2-6 after a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots , who came into the game with a 1-6 record. This defeat leaves both teams sharing last place in the AFC East.

The Jets had opportunities to secure the win, leading 22-17 with just one drive left for New England. However, they failed to stop Jacoby Brissett , who marched down the field and delivered a go-ahead touchdown with under 30 seconds remaining.

In the postgame show, host Steve Gelbs didn't hold back, declaring that the Jets' season is officially over and calling it one of the most inexcusable losses in recent memory. Former Jets linebacker Bart Scott echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need for accountability.

"Disgusted, actually. As a former Jet, I feel embarrassed and ashamed. I defended this team every single week up until now, but they have to take accountability," Scott said. "This is on them. They've become exactly what people always say: the same old Jets."

While the Jets face one of the easier schedules remaining in the NFL, there wasn’t a worse opponent to encounter than the 1-6 Patriots.

In many ways, this game was a must-win, and the Jets couldn’t deliver. Now, they must prepare for a tough matchup against a strong Houston Texans team on “Thursday Night Football”, leaving little time to regroup.

Despite making significant moves—trading for Davante Adams , firing head coach Robert Saleh , and bringing Hasson Reddick back on the field—none of it seems to have made a difference for New York.

Following the team's fifth straight loss on Sunday, the Jets' postgame panel expressed their disgust, highlighting the growing frustration among fans and analysts alike. The pressure is mounting, and the path forward looks increasingly challenging.
