The New York Jets suffered a brutal 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8.

With the loss, the Jets fell to 2-6 on the season and have now lost five straight games, dating back to the team's 24-3 win over the Patriots on Sept. 19.

Following the Week 8 matchup against New England, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers spoke with the media, where he was asked about the team's recent struggles.

Rodgers admitted that the Jets haven't "put it together" since its last victory. He explained that the Jets need all three phases of the game to contribute, special teams, offense, and defense, but they haven't had a complete showing in over a month.

"We haven't put it together really since the last time we won a game," Rodgers said.

Rodgers finished the matchup against the Patriots with two touchdowns and 233 yards, completing 17-of-28 pass attempts.

His No. 1 receiver, Garrett Wilson, posted 113 yards on five receptions. The Jets also got great production from its running back room. Breece Hall had 80 yards on 16 carries and rookie Braelon Allen had one touchdown and 32 yards on 12 carries.

Despite the offensive success, penalties and a poor defensive showing plagued the Jets yet again. They had eight penalties on the day that accounted for 55 yards in favor of the Patriots.

New York struggled to stop the run. Quarterback Drake Maye produced one touchdown and 46 yards on the ground, while running back Rhamondre Stevenson posted two touchdowns and 48 yards on 20 carries.

The Jets clearly struggled against the Patriots' offensive scheme, but they'll have a chance to bounce back after heading to the drawing board.

New York's chance to snap a five-game losing streak comes in Week 9 on "Thursday Night Football" against the Houston Texans.
