The Falcons continued their strong play with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals.In the first half, it was all Fairmont State as the team controlled the ball mainly in the offensive zone. The Falcons totaled 14 shots compared to only three for Wheeling. Six of those 14 shots were on target but all of them were stopped. The Cardinals had one lone shot on goal but Olivia Johnston was there for the save. At the break, the game remained scoreless.Fairmont State maintained the offensive pressure in the second half and it paid off in 54th minute as Ashley Rainho capitalized on a penalty kick. Four minutes later, Valentina Gianinetto added to the lead as she scored off a pass from Rainho. Over the final 30 minutes of the half, the Falcons held Wheeling to just one shot, off target and picked up the road win by the two-goal margin.The Falcons finished the afternoon with 22 shots as 10 of them were on target. FSU also held the advantage in corner kicks, 9-1.Fairmont State (9-5-1, 8-4-0) remains on the road as it faces Salem University on Wednesday, October 30. First kick is set for 2:30 p.m.</div></body>
