The accident occurred at approximately 3:02 a.m.According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the Dodge Journey, driven by Robert L. Green, 29, of St. Louis, attempted an unsafe U-turn from the second lane, entering the path of the northbound Yamaha motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as Jarawn E. Jones Wilson, 23, of Tarawa Terrace, North Carolina, attempted to avoid the Dodge by veering left, however, the front of the motorcycle collided with the left side of the Dodge, leading to extensive damage to the Yamaha and moderate damage to the Dodge.Following the impact, Jones Wilson was ejected from his motorcycle. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene at 3:12 a.m. The motorcycle and Dodge Journey were both towed by A2B Towing.
