It features the book, How to Bake an Apple Pie and See the World, by Marjorie Priceman of Lewisburg.</p><p>Designed for children and families, the StoryWalk displays large, laminated pages from the book around the playground, allowing visitors to stroll from page to page and enjoy the story outdoors.</p><p>Ann Gates, one of the organizers from the Friends of the Rudy Gelnett Library said the engaging setup encourages early literacy and a lifelong love of reading, “Early literacy for young children is just so necessary and it really helps them get prepared for school and for learning all through the rest of their lives. I’m a life-long reader myself and I know what joy it brings me.”</p><p>With a recipe for apple pie included by the Lewisburg-based author, adding a fun, hands-on twist to the experience. Open all year, StoryWalk provides a free, accessible way for all families, including those with special needs—to enjoy reading together in the fresh air.</p></div></body>
