The parade is one of the biggest events of the year for the Twin Cities showcasing bands, entertainers, non-profit organizations, local businesses, community groups, and much more.

Phillipsburg Mayor Randy Piazza, Jr. has been attending the decades-long tradition since he was a young boy. “The amount of people that came out today was unbelievable,” Piazza shared with TAPinto. “It is always well-attended, but this year there seems like even more people on both sides of the river came out. I think the weather helped a lot.”

Children of all ages dressed up in costumes ranging from dinosaurs, princesses, power rangers, zombie cheerleaders, unicorns, witches, batman, spiderman, mickey mouse, and tigers! Many pups waited for the parade too, some even dressed in skeleton suits or decorative bat wings.

TAPinto also spoke with Phillipsburg Councilmen Lee Clark and Keith Kennedy, who both shared they have been attending the parade on and off for many years. “When I was a kid, Phillipsburg’s parade was at night,” said Kennedy.
