One of the top 2026 recruits in the nation will reportedly visit Rocky Top this weekend for the Tennessee Vols' game against the Kentucky Wildcats.

According to On3's Steve Wiltfong , 2026 five-star running back Savion Hiter will be in Knoxville this weekend.

Hiter, 5-foot-11/182 lbs from Mineral, VA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 1 running back in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia. He's also rated as the No. 20 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The coveted running back visited Michigan this past weekend for the Wolverines' 24-17 win against Michigan State. Hiter is also expected to visit Ohio State in November.

Georgia and Penn State are also in the mix for Hiter.

"They're a great program," said Hiter earlier this month to 247Sports of his interest in the Vols. "You've seen what they did with running backs and Dylan Sampson is doing great right now and (DeSean) Bishop is doing good. Also, the player I went against (Peyton Lewis), he went to Salem and now he's at Tennessee, he's doing pretty good. Their place is great and I really like the coaches."

The running back position plays a huge role in Tennessee's offense. The deep passes get all the headlines, but the running game is what really makes the Vols' offense click. Hiter would be a perfect fit for Tennessee.

The Vols currently have four players committed to their 2026 recruiting class.
