Police were dispatched to the area of Exit 48 on I-84 westbound around 2 a.m. Saturday for the report of a crash involving a wrong-way driver who was attempting to flee.

Upon arrival, troopers reported the wrong-way vehicle was gone. However, they found the vehicle soon after, still facing the wrong way near the Exit 54 off-ramp, and disabled due to the crash.

Troopers said the driver- identified as Leggett- had an odor of alcohol and admitted to having multiple drinks before driving. She also failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, police said.

We should put spike strips on the on ramps. If you are going the right way just a bump. If you going the wrong way then the spikes will stop you. Seems like a simple solution to me
