This season, the Eagles will look to improve upon their 11-12 record.The Eagles lost five seniors to graduation but return three letterwinners in senior Kyle Barr (2.4 ppg, 1.4 apg) and Braydon Songer (13.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.6 apg) and Kenyen Franklin (10.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.5 apg) – both junior guards.The coaching staff expects a large number of newcomers to the varsity level led by a trio of seniors in Talan Ifft, Matt Bobovnik and AJ Cheney along with juniors Jakob Hayes, Brady Fabrizio and Anthony Clark. Hubbard could also see contributions from the sophomore class with Byran Moss and Dylan Bucher.“We expect to compete each night in all 22 contests and compete for a conference championship,” says coach Ryan Fitch. “We expect to play with enthusiasm on both ends of the court, take quality shots and limit teams to one shot defensively. We expect to take care of the basketball and value each possession.”Hubbard is set to open the new season on November 27 with a home date against LaBrae.“This group has many strengths including shooting the basketball, athleticism, playing with enthusiasm and sharing the ball,” indicates Fitch. “This group focuses on the program, not their individual accomplishments and desires.
