DENVER ( KDVR ) — A snowstorm is heading toward Colorado this week, with as many as seven inches expected in some parts of the state.

    • Rocky Mountain National Park: 3-6 inches
    • Steamboat Springs: 3 inches
    • Castle Rock: 3 inches

The Pinpoint Weather team said Denver could potentially see trace amounts of snow on Wednesday, although it’s not likely.

On average, Denver sees its first snow on Oct. 18, but this year the city is behind schedule. The team predicts that recordable snowfall in Denver will come in November, which could be one of the latest first snowstorms in history.
