Both athletes contributed in the attacking third of the field of the Huskies, with Pacacha and Besser notching two goals and two assists in Bloomsburg's two wins. Across the two games, the No. 24 Huskies outscored their opponents 8-0 and outshot them 51-2. On Wednesday, Bloomsburg held Shepherd without a shot in the contest, the only time the team has done so dating back to 2014.Pacacha had a breakout week for the Huskies, scoring his first two career goals and surpassing his freshman point total with a pair of stellar performances. The sophomore began his week as the offensive catalyst in the second half of Bloomsburg's 2-0 win over Shepherd. The forward delivered his first assist of the week off of a corner to Besser before getting the open space off another set-piece routine to score from outside the box and secure the win on the road. On Saturday, Pacacha delivered from the corner again with another assist and delivered his second score of the week, splitting the defense and beating the goalkeeper in a 6-0 route of Shippensburg. The forward has two consecutive three-point performances and has an assist in three straight matches.Besser's consistency is a hallmark of this Bloomsburg squad, and his play down the final stretch has helped the Huskies elevate performances. The junior scored the opening goal for Bloomsburg on the road against the Rams to spark his team following a frustrating first half. The defender's role in the center of the defense helped the Huskies to a pair of shutouts while holding opponents to two shots in two matches. Besser had a career day of his own, notching a career-best four points in the win over the Raiders. The defender started his day with two opening-half assists before getting on the scoresheet with a header.Bloomsburg men's soccer is getting a wealth of stellar performances across the pitch, contributing to intriguing benchmarks across the field. The Huskies' 6-0 win over Shippensburg was the third time the team has scored six or more goals under head coach Mark Bassett and the first time since doing so twice in the 2022 season. The squad's defensive form has been integral in the recent run of form. Bloomsburg has held its last five opponents scoreless, the longest such streak dating back to 2012.The Huskies are back at Steph Pettit Stadium to wrap up their nonconference slate and the final two home games of the regular season.
