Fayetteville, AR (KNWA/KFTA) – Arkansas head football coach Sam Pittman announced on Monday that tight ends Var’Keyes Gumms and Ty Washington are no longer with the team.

The Head Hog cited violation of team rules in both cases. Pittman clarified neither player has the opportunity to return to the team.

Gumms has one catch for zero yards on the year. Last season, he finished with three receptions for 26 yards.

Washington has dealt with injuries in his time on the Hill. The redshirt sophomore has two catches for 25 yards and a touchdown this season. In 2023, Washington caught 11 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns before getting injured.

Luke Hasz and Andreas Paaske are expected to continue to handle the majority of the reps at tight end.

Arkansas takes on No. 19 Ole Miss inside Razorback Stadium on Saturday at 11 a.m.
