Robert L. Lee, Senior vice president and senior company counsel at Wells Fargo in the Twin Cities, passed away in his sleep on Oct. 10, 2024. He was 68. Lee worked on the Wells Fargo legal team for 30 years before retiring in 2023. He was the bank’s lead merger and acquisitions attorney. His work included Wells Fargo’s 2008 acquisition of Wachovia Corporation, which remains the largest bank acquisition in U.S. history.
