Volvo Group and Daimler Truck have now signed a binding agreement to establish a joint venture that was initially announced in May of this year. In a press release, the companies said they intend to “develop a common software-defined vehicle platform and dedicated truck operating system, to provide the basis for future software-defined commercial vehicles.” The duo are working towards setting up the company that will be headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden.
