FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Before officially tipping off the college basketball season, Purdue Fort Wayne is playing host to Notre Dame this week in the Summit City.

The Mastodons are set to square off in a charity exhibition on Wednesday. Proceeds from the game will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana and Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne.

While the game will not officially count in the win-loss column, Purdue Fort Wayne is hosting their biggest game since stunning IU in 2016 at Memorial Coliseum. Head coach Jon Coffman has a solid history of defeating power conference programs, including a win at IU in 2017 and a win at DePaul out of the BIG EAST to tip off last season.

Tipoff against Notre Dame is set for 7 p.m.
